Every L400 should have one of these. Will prevent overheating of the cooling system if the exsisting one is cracking. Surface cracks are normally found on the back of the tank and not always visible on the front face.

any cracking history in the expansion tanks for the L300's?????/

The L300 expansion bottles do not have the same problems as the L400 ones.
If you require L300 bottles CC Autos has used ones in stock.
