I have been considering , and researching getting one. The time is now. I do not want to buy from a dealer here but bring one in myself, and do as much of the work as possible. Any ideas on what roughly would be all my costs on top of the vehicle in getting it here (shipping, broker fees)?

thanks

Check the importing section of this forum - there is plenty of good answers in there. Lots have done it themselves and detailed it in that section.

Short answer: for a vehicle that is 15 years old, and in better shape than most almost-like vehicles here, in the 10k$ range after you do the required/suggested maintenance.

At the price they are selling for landed ( here in Alberta anyhow ) you might as well just buy one here.... No real price difference there for you all said and done.
