Starter motor removal
Am I correct in assuming that the left engine mount has to be removed in order to remove the starter motor? Any info would be appreciated.
Re: Starter motor removal
Nope. There are just 2 really long bolts that attach the starter motor. The trick is to undo the connections to the solenoid without getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
Also, once the starter motor is off, it might be a good time to install a block heater. Talk to Glen at CCAutos, he'll sort you out.

Thanks Turf'd - I don't have a problem right now, but if I find myself with time on my hands I might pull it and rebuild it just for peace of mind. I've already done the alternator.

Re: Starter motor removal
My starter has been giving a little trouble and I was thinking of replacing it myself. Is it petty simple to do? Can I get a new starter or rebuilt one?
