Delica Virgin in Fort Langley!

Hi

I am considering a Delica but am curious about towing capacity.

I will be pulling a canoe/kayak trailer regularly with this vehicle and am curious if folks find the Delica has enough power and brakes.

The trailer does not have it's own brakes and to add them is too costly at this point.

Currently I drive a 2003 Subaru Outback 3.0L H-6. We love this vehicle but I am a bit worried about the stress we might be putting on the transmission over time.

Of course I am a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to my car (as per the guy in the house :)

Any thoughts, suggestions, opinions etc. would be great.

Not to be rude, but try the search function please. Towing has been talked about several times and you can see what others tow and how often.

A canoe/kayak trailer will be no problem for the Delica. I haul large loads of lumber, aggregate, and bicycles regularly.

Other members pull small campers, and boats without any trouble.

I have no problem towing my trailer. Just make sure the ATF is in good condition and change it regularly.

Not to scare you from getting a Delica, but its just my hunch that your Subaru would probably tow all that stuff easier... so if you are scared about its transmission, I dont think you will sleep to well with the effort the Delica seems to make. But if you do buy a Delica then welcome, I love mine and wouldn't trade it for the world (ok, maybe the world... but not much less).
