Rooftop Tent - by Eezi-Awn

Post by mararmeisto »

I had to modify my 'Kinki' roof rack (yes, I got a naughty van) in order to accommodate what I'm picking up tomorrow. Thought I would throw up the pictures now, and then some more tomorrow.

Translation anyone? I'm hoping it describes the kinkiness of my Kinki rack!

I got the mounting brackets for whichever VW van has the most vertical slope to the side of the roof, drilled holes in my rack arms and then bolted it to the rack. Ta da! I wasn't comfortable drilling holes and screwing into the top of my van, as Wolfgang suggested.

Nailed it! Good guess, 39Ronin.

Anyway, it's late, so here is a couple of quick pictures, and after work tomorrow I'll set it up in the driveway for some shots for my album. Driving to the Mainland and back is so tiring!

And now pictures:

Forgot to post some of the most important information:

Eezi-Awn rooftop tents are currently sold by a Richard Creed in White Rock. Look for him on the www at Pacific Custom Land Rover. I got last year's model at last year's price, so it may have gone up a bit. He said he will also bring in just about anything from the Eezi-Awn line: roof racks, awnings, tents, etc.

Good looking tent, Marameisto, although I gotta say that I though you would have gone for navy blue rather than army green :? . Looks good and practical, none the less.

Falco.

Nice roof top tent! I have a "Sky Dome" but haven't get around to it yet. Is yours the same tent they used in "Long Way Down" on their Nissan Safari?
