I am setting up a touring co-op for Canadian Musicians. I run a converted BlueBird School bus, and the idea is to secure sources of bio-deisel and WVO all across the country, so that bands can tour cross-canada on Green fuel.
Has a community of canadian sources of WVO been established? Is there an established cross-canada route that can be taken for WVO/Biodeisel vehicles? I be gratefull if someone could help point me in the right direction.

Re: Cross-Canada WVO supply.
I tried finding wvo through Canada but doesn't seem very popular, maybe Winnipeg?
It would prove handy for me 'cause I just left from Vancouver, driving across the country and I brought enough oil to make it to Winnipeg but after that I'll be swearing to have to drive on diesel.
Anyone to help me as well?
Thanks!
David

Re: Cross-Canada WVO supply.
Hey, this is a great idea! I am a musician and have toured across canada. It has become harder and harder for Canadian bands to tour their own country and as a result our historic touring circuit has died out somewhat over the past years. This is a shame as most people don't realize what a what an amazing thing this is and how much sacrifice goes into just touring for most bands. Having a cheap source of fuel would be a deal maker for some bands trying to book a tour. I'm all for it, and I'll try and help if I can. That being said I am not running my Delica on WVO and I don't really have the means to filter it. However! As a cook, I do have an essentially limit-less source of raw Oil at my disposal. And I do know the guy who does all the conversions in town. I have to wonder how many bands out there have it together enough to get a WVO conversion done on their touring van, most Musicians I have known were hopeless when it comes to vehicles, and most use gas vans so they can always find fuel.
My delica is my band van, although we haven't toured yet. Are there any other bands using a delica as a band van out there? Anyhow I really like this idea and I'll totally help out.

Re: Cross-Canada WVO supply.
I know of one band that has travelled from Vancouver Island to the Maritimes and back - twice - in a WVO delica. I know a friend of one of the members and have pressed him to press his buddy to post about it. To no avail, sadly

Happy Day!
