Ok, so this isn't a real live Delica... but I found it interesting none the less...
I was in the Maratime Museum of British Columbia in Victoria last week, and in their display for BC Ferries they show a model of the "PacifiCat" ferries (high speed catamaran ferries intended for use between Vancouver and Victoria but quashed after construction by politics...)
wait a minute... what's that on the vehicle deck?
Looks kinda like a Delica to me... you can clearly see the three pointed star on the front... I found that rather odd for a vehicle that was never sold in Canada...
(on a side note... the museum was really nice, and I highly recommend it for anyone with a nautical interest)
BC Ferries...

well I doubt the orriginal toy had BC ferries logos, that was probably done by the model maker making the pacificat model... however it was an interesting choice of vehicle for the part...
as for good ambulances, I sure hope so, because that's part of the role mine will be converted to fill... (it gets on a boat heading for Canada this week... trying not to pass out holding my breath....)

Actually this van did sell in North America, it was branded Van Wagon in the US.BCDelica wrote:That is funny that a vehicle that never sold in North America has BC Ferries decals on a toy Delica.
Practical looking ambulances, you do see them on the news occasionally in Asia, the Middle East or South America.
Maybe this one will give someone ideas,

B.C. Ferries trip
Remember in "Austin Powers" the first movie where Dr. Evil has a factory that makes little models of toy factories. Maybe B.C. Ferries got their contractor model-maker from a Japanese firm, hence the Delica.
