Just bought my first Delica

Hi all, just made up an account although I've been reading the site for some time now and doing my homework on these Delica's. I actually just picked my van up tonight. Well so to speak anyway... I won it in auction in Japan just now. needless to say just PUMPED to get it here!

Heres a few pics, more to come in about a week i guess.

The vehicle you displayed was auctioned on Thursday at JU Aichi - Lot: 3151 - Chassis: P35W-03028**.

However, it never reached it's reserve price and was not negotiated during the auction which means it never sold at this auction. If you have been told that you brought it at this auction then someone is telling you a few pork pies or not the full story as it did not sell. Your agent may of brought it after the auction by approaching the seller when he/she was collecting the vehicle (JU Aichi is not a big auction) which does happen from time to time but is a major no no by the auctions and if the agent is caught doing this he/she will be banned.

Thanks guys I'll get more pictures once it leaves Japan so I'm told.

Also to the guy that mentioned about the auction...... It was a set price auction called one price... ??

That's what im told anyhow but really scored a wicked deal! Nice that you took the time to look all that up too.

I'm actually in Edmonton but otherwise would have loved to come out for the meet. And I'm not importing myself and got a import broker locally to me to handle everything.

that is a beautiful chamonix! i know exactly how you feel becuase i went through this wonderful experience 1 year ago!

never mind what brave auto says, i had the same experience more or less:

my chamonix was in the auction on a monday.it was beasutiful, i had to have it. my friend who was bidding for me was away and the auction ended and i missed it :(
but then on wednesday the same van appeared in the one price and i bought it for Y150,000
it did not meet the reserve and so moved over to the one price!

just my luck!
