turn signal relay

Post by shuggyss »

hey everybody,

I am wondering where the turn signal switch/relay is located.? Sounds like its behind the glove box? I need to replace with one that will be LED compatible.

Cheers

If it sounds like it's behind the glove box, that's where it is. There are some years where it is located behind the steering column, and this has led to some confusion.

Also, it's an integrated turn/hazard relay (while the one behind the steering column is two separate sets of relays), so that might make it a bit trickier to find a replacement (I'm thinking).

There are resistor kits to install in parallel with your turn signal wires when converting to LEDs. That's what I've done with mine, instead of looking for a compatible relay. Where did you find the relays?

For details on the relay behind the glove compartment, including photo of insides, see my previous thread Turn signals dead.
