Re: Trailer Hitches
Should fit a 92. But you realize it is a Class I, not even class 2? So it wouldn't be able to tow much. For a bit more you should be able to get a Class III. Suggest you search the forum for pricing in the Vanc area.

Re: Trailer Hitches
Thanks for the reply. If that one should fit then I can find a class 3 locally. Thanks

Re: Trailer Hitches
I don't think anyone has found a "stock" hitch. The nearest thing has been getting a Princess Auto one, then modifying it.
Most of the people in the Vancouver area have been recommending E&H Hitch. They've done custom hitches for a bunch of Delicas, so it's hardly custom anymore. If memory serves, about $400 will get you a Class III.
I'm in Calgary, so got mine custom done locally. Very different design, bolted on rather than welded, and did not require the removal of the rear anti-sway bar. Only required the removal of the tube bumper under the main bumper, but that's normal.
See this thread for E&H sample.

Mine's an E&H "custom" job and it's just bolted on and the anti-sway bar didn't have to be removed either.Erebus wrote:I don't think anyone has found a "stock" hitch. The nearest thing has been getting a Princess Auto one, then modifying it.

Trailer Hitches
E&H just did mine as a Class II for about $350.
The Class III is closer to $500 taxes in.
All my existing receiver stuff is class II so not need for the extra expense - though admit I would have gone class III if I didn't already have all the things needes (bike rack / hitch & ball / carrier etc)
Regardless, the hitch they did up for me is very robust compared to any other I've seen - certainly much beefier than the stock factory receiver that came on my 2002 Sienna.
Have heard complaints about the old version of Max Odrive's receiver - it was 2 piece and would need occasional attention and adjustment. Doesn't matter since he's sold out now regardless.

Re: Trailer Hitches
Concur with the E&H Hitch Shop recommendation: I was willingly 'raped' by BC Ferries just so I could get what I wanted (living in Lotus Land is wonderful, except for when one wants OFF the Island).
I got the class III, which is WAY more than what this van can handle (as far as pulling a load), but with the larger receiver it does allow for all the neat do-dads and geegaws that don't seem to come in a 1.25" size: bike racks, flat racks, towing eyes, and a much wider range of tow balls/hitches.
As they custom build each tow bar, if you have a sway bar, they can build around it. Also, I found their hitch bolts on much more sturdily than the factory one: not only where the flashy bumper goes, but also further forward. Again, probably more than required, but I've not yet had to tighten my nuts.
The hitch on ebay? Well, that's most likely for the van which was sold in the States, so who knows what the bolt arrangement was for that. Maybe ask Mardy if the 10-passenger is similar enough and it would work.

Re: Trailer Hitches
Cant seem to find anything more than a Class one that bolts up to the US version so, I guess that means that I need to go custom. I will try to see what is available here in the East Koots hopefully something in Cranbrook.
