Caution: possible roll back

Post by crushers »

HAA KOBE lot number 55962
Black Delica Super Exceed
27,000km

i know many of the Delica owners are importing their own, possibly with out the assistance of an inspection in japan so i feel it is right to post up a possibility of this being a roll back unit.
The inspector in Japan has shown due reason for me not to bid on this unit. he feels the condition of the interior with tears and burns to be one of much higher milage than shown.
one reason for doubt of honesty is the "B "B" interior, most auctions will rate this interior as "D". "B" is usually reserved for an interior with no tears or burns, cleaning only needed.
should you wish to purchase this unit as for proof of milage once it arrives in Canada.

should this post be in poor taste or unwanted please let me know and i will deleat it.
cheers

No problem Wayne, heck part of the fun of importing yourself is the luck factor; you do except some risk when trying to save a buck doing it yourself. I think you were the first person I heard say don't spend more then you can afford to lose. So far I have received units with; aftermarket stereo removed, batteries swapped and rust touch ups on 3.5 rated Deli, one bald tire on a rig with supposedly new tires - these are just a few that I can prove out with pre-purchase pictures. Personally being a glass half full kind of guy, I have liked the positive surprises that happen too, and don't get worked up about the minuses; so far. My work was cheap FOB, was told I could do better from Japan, but the condition of it exceeds (no pun indented) my expectations.

Diligence
