A quick introduction from Vancouver

Post by lara@randomlink.com »

Hello all.

I am the owner of a Silver 1993 Delica Exceed. I really don't like fixing motors or puttering with an engine, however I love winter camping and the wilderness which is why we got our Delica (my partner, on the other hand loves to putter so I am covered). While we were cutting down our christmas tree in the forest outside of Squamish we, by chance, bumped into about 15 other Delica owners who were meeting up for a winter camping trip. Although we didn't have time to chat I was interested in future meetings because it looked like lots of fun and an interesting bunch of people.

In terms of advice I don't have a whole lot to offer, unless you want to know what color curtains match the interior best (I am a designer) which is important in my opinion ;)

I hope to meet up with people on the next camping trip...

Met you where the Elaho flows into the Squamish, right? In Paradise Valley... The link that Delicat was mentioning is the whole thread to that trip (the pictures are toward the end of the six pages of thread).

As far as advice goes, I am sure you will have something to offer as everyone has something to offer. I, myself am a painter so if you want to know anything about paint finishes or protecting your paint job then I might be able to offer assistance. There is also a guy on site by the name of "Chewy" who works on detailing paint jobs. This site has become a wealth of information and the people are generally cool, great community and I have been learning a lot about mechanics lately... smiles. It was a pleasant experience meeting you ~ welcome to the club :M

Falco.

P.S.: Check out "Delica Wiki", you will find it on the front forum page. There in you will find a wealth of information regarding your Starwagon.

Keep your eye on the "Lower Mainland Events" forum, that is where any announcements will be made :-D .
