Hi there all.

Truth be told I don't own a Delica. But I've been interested in them for some time. Ever since my wife told me that she wants me to get a Mini-Van for the family, I Shuddered at the idea of buying a crappy Dodge Caravan, or Ford Windstar etc. None of those were suitable and since I'm afraid I wouldnt be able to convince her to pick up a VW Bus I stated looking at other options until I stumbled upon the Delica. All I can say is WOW. I freaking love these vehicles already and I still know virtually nothing about them. All I know is it comes with 4x4, they're Diesel, Have a ton of space for family, and all the sweetest looking options like the crystal roof etc. I have to admit though THIS is the vehicle that did it for me in the end. After I saw this guys Rig I've been sold. I've been looking into importing one now. I haven't got the slightest Clue how much this guy must have spent but I'm sure it was a pretty penny.

At any rate, the reason I signed up here was because I wanted to hear about some of the problem area's one can expect of a Delica. I can only assume there are Parts Nightmare Woes and the like if something is to go wrong. I'm also of course wondering what kind of options one should look for when purchasing one to begin with. I'm aware there are several different line ups available but again, I'm very new to this whole scene and just thought I would register to have access to the forums to learn more.

I reside in Ontario, but spent 6 years in Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler area and miss that part of my life every morning of every day. If I could only turn back the hands of time.

Any info is great info as far as I'm concerned and I look forward to one day owneing one of these beauties.

Unless you are willing to be quite the pioneer, I would suggest not going for the L400 just yet (the one you have pictured is an L400, the ones most of us have are the L300s (see my sig image)) They are only just now becoming available in Canada, so parts, and knowledge are not yet plentiful, whereas the L300 is well established.

Beyond that, there is a wealth of information on this forum, so feel free to poke around and read as much as you can.
