Why so many sales? / Low roof advice

Low Roof (flat)

Low Roof with sunroof or moon roof

High Roof

High Roof with crystal lite windows

I'm 6'4" I have had a high roof delica, and now have a low roof. I have plenty of head room. Of course my low roof is still to tall to fit underground, its about 8' tall with the 31's, "canadian lift", roof crate, and Roof tent. But then there is no underground parking up here anyhow!

I had the same fears regarding loading bikes on a Copperhead rack. Sometimes my bike forks have dropped down and the dropouts have struck the roof. Much of the rest of the time I've got a large Pod, (about to be two), that obstructs the potential view.

I've got a full length, full width rack (8 feet long, 50 inch wide) on the CrystalLite roof. Right now it has 4 ammo cases, spare tire, air tank, milk crate and lawn chairs on it. The amazing thing is how little all that blocks the view.

Yes, when I was loading, and any time I'm up there, I do worry very much about dropping something through the glass. So I'm very very careful. If I was carrying something like canoes on a regular basis on normal bars, I would probably opt for the regular high-roof.

As for heights and ferries. When the rack was being built, the fabricator asked how high I wanted it. Given that with nothing on it, my Delica is 7', and my house's carport entrance is 7'2", it wasn't relevant. So we went with 7" to make room for the taillights. The rack by itself puts the height at 7'10" (2.4 m). To the top of the CB antenna is 12'02" (3.8 m), which is taller than the top of the CB antenna of the trucker I was talking to last week which gave us both a chuckle.

Oh this is such a great road ,we've got mountains ,rivers ,lakes ,watch out for that low lying branch,what branch? that one ,crap there goes my side top ,hard to get ,lots of money got to wait forever peice of GLASS.
I like low roofs,and bush wackin so thats just MY opinion.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
