Hello from Vancouver!

Post by asphaltjunkiez »

I dont have a Delica yet, working on it. Currently i'm driving a gti vr6 which i'm trying to sell.

Few years ago i used to own a dodge raider aka mitsubishi montero, i just love the look of those ones(monteros)

I have been seeing more and more of the delicas around so i think its time.

I have read the site back and forth and i know many dealers here are importing and sellig them. @ this point in my life 10grand for a car is not possible so i will look into doing the work myself and see if i can do it for 5grand.

So far this is a great site and a great resource.

I also belong to few local motorcycle sites, i am a photographer and also a documentary filmmaker, my new film is coming out soon, you can find the trailer here.

I would say go for it, not a difficult process. I worked with an exporter and brought in my own van, my son brought over a Pajero and my brother is working on a van right now too. If your interested in pursuing this talk to Chanuri at Yokohama Trading Company and she will set you up with a good vehicle. Here's her email address. chanuri@ytrd.com

Good luck,

5 grand is possible if you do it yourself but you'll need to keep reading to find out how, with who, where... Then if you find one you should still do a full maintenance (timing belts...) 'cause if you don't you're taking a chance, a big one... Auction fees, Japanese fees (in land transport...) shipping, tx and duties, compliance and maintenance... chances are you'll be over $5 grand, sorry.

If only it was that cheap and easy. But for me, anything close to $10 grand for such a vehicle is worth it...
