Island Newbie..... Hello hello hello.

Post by 4xDeli-box »

Man delica's are cool. Im seriously thinking of buying one. The fact that its like an SUV but not an SUV which rocks. The mirrors are cool, the glass roof is cool, room and versatility, diesel and a turbo.... well you all get the picture, what's not to like. Kinda like a big swiss army knife!

I need a little advise, I know I gotta have the glass top with the sun roof's. I think i want the manual because of the lower ratio as 31" tires will be a "right away" kinda upgrade. I'd love the LSD rear end because the van will get used.

So is it possible to get the crystaline (think thats the name) roof with a 5sp. Do Super Exceeds come with the manual as an option? Ill do the serial # check to see if the LSD is an option on whatever Im lookin at.

Not that these vans are race cars or ever intended to be but do people upgrade injectors? Adjust fuel injection amount? Raise boost levels? You know the old school, mechanicaly injected diesel tricks? What about propane injection? Not for power but for efficency?

thanks,
Cam

Big swiss army knife... I like it!

Almost every option is available so if you're patient or lucky you should find what you're looking for. I've seen Crystallite with 5 spd, not sure about LSD but mostly found on Chamonix and SuperExceed but not limited to.

Boost can be increased a little, 12lbs is about right, above is at your own risk. In any case, before doing any mods you'd probably want to install a intercooler to keep everything cool.

Take a look at the FAQ, they have lots of info.

Good luck!
