WVO presentation in Nanaimo Rescheduled May 24th

Post by Adam »

Any WVO running Delica drivers or the WVO curious are welcome to come out and support me as I give me first presentation since University, which was 10+ years and 3 kids ago.

Here's the event info: http://www.midisland.coop/environment.php

My WVO discussion is at 3pm in Room 1. No hecklers please :-)

Too bad for me as I am tied up that day, but would for sure make the trip to hear your presentation - the one day... Good luck with it Adam, you'll be great! :M :-D

I'm going to try and go. I'm thinking of doing the Green Building and Alt. Energy Diploma at Malaspina and this looks like it will give a good idea of the market.

Make sure you introduce yourself to me. We just bought a 5 acre lot and looking at green building options like rammed earth and straw bale. Still trying to get an idea of how green we can afford to go :-)

Adam,

I can volunteer to have my bus converted live to WVO for your presentation if you're interested! :-D And best of all I won't charge you a penny! 8-)

I'll try very hard to make it, mostly to meet all of you foreign WVO Island people...

Unfortunately the entire trade show and forum was cancelled at the last minutes because of the 5 hour power outage at Beban Park Social Centre. Even more unfortunate was that I didn't find out about the cancellation until I showed up to give my talk at 2pm today. And to think, that instead of spending the entire morning preping a power point presentation, I could have been properly nursing my Friday night hang over. Oh well, it's all done for next year :-)

The show has been rescheduled for the 24th of May (Sat). I won't be able to give the presentation, I'll be pretending I'm in my early 20s, with no kids as I rock out at Sasquatch '08. Fortunately Bjorn of Dr. Björn's Auto in Cobble Hill has agreed to take my place. I'm sure his presentation will be a lot more comprehensive than mine:

I bought the tix back in January and I've got 5 other people driving down on WVO in my Deli, so I can't jam out now. I've been the last 2 years, so it is getting to be a bit of a spring tradition, but 3 days of 12-14 hour concerts is a bit of a marathon. I'll have to pace myself this year :-)

getting off topic here but who cares? mike patton was the singer for faith no more, but thats really only a tiny part of his career. his voice is an instrument unto itself and the psychedelica weirdness that comes from his mouth is what makes him so much fun to hear
