Things missing from Dash?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Things missing from Dash?

Post by GirlWithTheDragonTattoo »

Sorry if this doesn't go here, I can't seem to post in Delica Q's board.

What went here? Two things seem to be missing from the dash...I can't find a good enough picture anywhere to compare to and see what's been taken out.

I'm gonna answer my own question and say that I think it might have been something custom installed that they took out. Dunno what the square built in the plastic was initially for, or the circle part for that matter, but they seem to have made use of it, then took whatever they put there, out. :?

The square recess in the dash usually houses the idle speed control- lets you set the idle speed a bit higher than usual until the engine warms up. The square hole in your dashboard is not standard though. Maybe you could add a power socket there to hide the hole?

The shiny bracket is unusual, that spot is usually left blank. Looks like a CB radio handset bracket.

On my L300s, next to the cigaret lighter sits the electrical headlight range adjuster. This is an option in Europe, not all models have it.
The headlight range can as well be adjusted manually using a Philips screwdriver, under the headlights.
Mind you, I have a left hand drive vehicle, so this is right-left reversed.

Ahhh, cool, ok thanks! Our horn doesn't work either, we replaced all the fuses in the fusebox underneath, but didn't seem to do the trick, so something is either disconnected or not working, Thinking of replacing this horn for a big truck horn. :P

I put in two toggle switches for my navigation system and air shock compressor system. Gotta love these wagons!
