94 Diesel L400 - Is there a lift pump? If so, where is it?

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

94 Diesel L400 - Is there a lift pump? If so, where is it?

Post by Roroca »

Hi,

I'm looking for a fuel lift pump in my 94 Deli L400, Diesel. She won't start.
Is there a lift pump, and if so, where is it? How does it get its power? Via relay? Fuse? If so, where is that relay or fuse located?
I've looked in the motor relay and fuse box, as well as the cabin, but can't find anything.

Thanks!

It looks like there's no lift pump in the tank. Is the injection pump the only one there is?

Here's the exploded diesel fuel tank diagram. There is a part on the tank called the fuel tank pump gasket but it shows a pickup tube and filter only.

A tip for starting in really cold weather is to pump up the fuel filter. The pump is on top of the filter which is above your battery on the firewall. Can't hurt to try. :M
