starter part number?
upon ALOT of conversation with mister google and looking in the tech/manuals side of this forum, I cant for the life of me come across the part number for the starter for a 91 l300. the one on mine is too far gone to read. I have been hearing rumors that apparently the mid 80s ford rangers (sorry for the language) also have the same 4d56 block??? if its any constellation its for a 91 L300 5spd manual. any help info etc would be great

Try starting on this page:
http://www.partsbase.org/mitsubishi/del ... 1986-1999/
I've found it easy to navigate for looking up parts numbers. If you have trouble just post your VIN # and I can help you with finding the Mitsu part #

Re: starter part number?
Can anyone tell me how to navigate this list? I'm not totally sure what exact version my Delica is. It's 1993 L300 Exceed. I can get the the VIN number once it's back from the shop.

Re: starter part number?
We have three of those parts lists listed in the Delica FAQ Section, in the thread "Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes."The easiest one to navigate is the "JDM Online Catalogue." Just click on the link and a page comes up that has seven search engines, enter your frame number in the Mitsubishi field and click enter. This will bring up all the OEM & PNC numbers that came stock with your Delica. No pictures, 'though.
For the pictures you need to suffer through "partsbase.org/mitsubishi/jp/" but it's not that difficult once you've learned exactly what your Delica is ~ is it a Starwagon or a Space Gear? What is the first four digits of the frame number, that will tell you a lot; which model; auto tranny or manual...
Muk, you have a Starwagon so you scroll down until you see "STAR WAGON/VAN", click on that; The next page you pretty much only need to look at the right side of the list for P35W, which is what you have in your avatar. When you look between your legs as you sit in the driver's seat you will see a flap in the carpet, under the flap is a metal plate that has "P35W-and five letters" those five letters are a code to what your wagon has. For instance: My wagon's code is SRXT9. S means four door; R means automatic transmission; X means "GLX Trim Code"; T means Turbocharger; 9 refers to the area of Japan the wagon was made (for the Japanese market).
You ought to spend a little time in the Delica FAQ Section, lots of neat information. Also take a look through the "L300 Dedicated Category Reference Forum" ~ interesting stuff in there, as well.
