I did checked the part numbers on my 1990 Square (4) Headlights, dont 'know if they are original but would like to have imputs on Modern, More Efficient Alternatives ?
Actual Low Beams : Looks to be Sealed Beams: H4656 XV. Available on Ebay right now
Actual High Beams : Looks like semi-Sealed Beams: 997-16541 12V/50/55W. Apparently very rare and hardly available....
So, any better options as for Housing, Bulbs, Sealed or not ? ; brand, parts number, type, modification needed ?

I would think they should be the same house as the old VW Jetta (MK1). Bosche makes/made a conversion maybe look around for that. What ever you do don't go with Ebay lights.. they have the worlds worst light pattern.
