Does anyone have the body section of the L300 workshop manual? Specifically, the windscreen replacement procedure? I'm curious about whether the factory recommended the use of a sealant, and if so, where.
(I'm familiar with replacing windscreens, but since I've got a new screen, gasket, and freshly repainted body I want to do it the factory way.)
Cheers
Grant

Windscreen replacement: factory procedure from workshop manual?
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

The closest I can find is:
http://www.partsbase.org/mitsubishi/del ... -up-paint/
It's a parts base exploded view of the wind screen that lists off all the components with their OEM numbers but I see no mention of a sealant in that list. There's no description of how, just a list of the parts and what they look like. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

No worries, thanks for the help though. *Generally*, rubber gasket glazing doesn't use sealant, and looking at the new rubber seal I can see that all those rubber lips and drain channels should work without sealant. I've installed it without sealant, we'll see how it goes...

Cool. Do you think you could post the results here, after the first serious downpour? I would be interested, for one

Sure thing. I'll be even more interested than you are!

Serious downpour test completed: the gutters overflowed and the garden furniture has floated away, but the carpets in my Delica are dry!
A new Delica windscreen seal does *not* require sealant.
