I'm here in Japan at the moment and have seen a few interesting Deli things.
One was a Delica D2. It appears to be a mini version of the D5. I'm gonna try to
find more info or pics.
The other I saw at Osaka Train Stn of all places. I think the pic speaks
for itself.

Re: Japan Deli Station
You should go back and buy a coffee mug with their name on it. Heck I would buy one myself if they have them.
Cool find though. So how many Delica bits you bringing back with you?????

I think the pic is asking more questions.Shaun Van Ramen wrote:The other I saw at Osaka Train Stn of all places. I think the pic speaks

That's a fast food joint, right? Why Delica? Did you ask them? Do they have a Delica? Is there another meaning to the word? What do they sell? Is it a chain station, or is it only one place? Do they sell complete shop manuals for the L300? How about coffee holders?

Here's a (rather goofy) Japanese ad for the D2

Re: Japan Deli Station
Didn't have time to go in as it was literally on the wrong side of the tracks.
From what I saw it is just a convenience store & deli. Hence the name. Anyone who has been
to Japan understands the mis-use of the English language.
Sorry but I'm not bring deli parts home. Bike bits maybe.
FYI: I've been on the lookout for a toy Deli. no such luck though.

Well I happen to come from the wrong side of the tracks and I can sing "I've seen tracks from both sides now..."Shaun Van Ramen wrote:Didn't have time to go in as it was literally on the wrong side of the tracks. ...

Man, if I made it to Japan I would go hang out at Mitsubishi's head office and see what kind of information I could glean from them, like a complete Starwagon shop manual in English or find accessory brochures/ links. Would love to pick the brains of the Gen III Starwagon design team. No pressure, just thinkin'.

Re: Japan Deli Station
We are back from Japan. We passed through Taipei, Taiwan on the way home. Had 9 hours to enjoy the city. In that time we saw 6 - count 'em - Six Delicas. One L400, the rest 300's. All LHD. This huge city park we walked through had the nicest ( Service vehicles - see green deli in pic) - they were slightly stretched and super clean.
Saw more there than in Japan (not too many older Deli's left there I think).
