Captain Chair wobble fix pictures needed

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

These are the 4 bolts that you want to remove and add washers under. I personally loosen them all, but only remove one at a time.

I used the locking type washer. Adds a bit more height. You may still need 2 washers on each.

Add washers.

That should be it. Give it a little wobble and see if it's secure. If it still wobbles add an extra washer while you have it all apart.

I'm trying to understand why this works...
I looked at my wobbly captains chairs today, they already have a washer then a lock washer then a bolt.

Adding another washer is going to fix the wobble?

In the picture above, it's the SILVER washer that is added, not the gold ones. The added washers go between the base of the chair and the plate.

Ah, that's what I figured when I looked at it, the retaining plates are shimmed up to take up the play in the turn plate (due to worn bushing or whatever).

Did this last night +1 for a successful fix. Really easy too.
