But when was that done.? It could have been over ten years ago. it's one of the most important things to keep up on. If the timing belt fails your motor will be wrecked...

I would be careful assuming as well.

Lots of times the balance belt is not done and it breaks and takes out the timing belt and motor or they re-use the old tensioners...

Parts are cheep and it is pretty easy to do yourself....also the crank pulley is another known weakness....

Give some attention to the brakes, front rotors are often warped and the calipers fail on a regular basis. A laser temp probe gives early warning of a warped rotor or sticking caliper problem.

If you change the calipers try changing to the dual piston unit.

Pulsing or vibration noted at the wheel/pedal is often a problem with the brakes.

Aside from that enjoy your L300. It's a beauty.
