Removing the cooler box/ice box
I've done some searching on the forum, but I can't figure out the procedure for removing the ice box. I want to take it out to get better access for removing the heater motor. So far I've taken out the tiny 7mm bolts from the bottom on both sides, but it's still stuck. Does it slide back or to the side or something? There's a hole if you look inside the cooler box in the middle, but I think it might be a drain hole? Any help with this would be great! Thanks.

Isn't the cooler box hooked up to the air conditioning plumbing?

Careful with the gas in the air conditioning system. Very harmful I'm told.
I removed my entire a/c system from to back including 2heat exchangers an the compressor pump. Made everything much easier to access an took of an easy 20lbs of weight off the front of the van.
Good luck

Re: Removing the cooler box/ice box
So is there a way to remove the heater motor without taking the whole cooler box apart/out? I'm out in Edmonton here and so far I've been ok dressing warm and just using the rear heater, but it sure would be nice to have actual heat.
Re: Removing the cooler box/ice box
I don't think you need to remove it. I can remember this happening to others. They gave it a well placed whack and it worked for a while. I searched "whack" and found this blower-motor-6438.html
Their were lots of whacks but this may have been one of the best!!
