I bought my 1994 L400 two years ago and love it!
However, a couple of small repairs are still needed.
When I got it, the turning signal indicator lever was hanging from the steering stock.
When I opened the cowling up, I discovered that the signal module had worn to the point where it was no longer holding the signal lever.
Opening up the module I found the interior had some 'floating' parts; the plastic nubs which held the lever in place were broken off.
I imagine that this little unit is a manufactured part that would be used in other van/car models.
Does anyone know where I might get this piece?
It is very easy to replace since it is a complete and sealed unit.
I just need to find it.
My right arm is getting tired from indicating which way I intend to turn.
And other drivers are confused and sometimes angry with me since the 'driver' isn't even in the right place in the van.
Please help if you are able.
I would be grateful.

Re: Turning Signal Indicator Module
Good luck. I too have the same issue except mine still works. The plastic bits inside were destroyed and I attermpted to glue it back together, with no success. Here is the real kick in the undies: You can't get just the turn signal actuator, you have to buy the entire set up that has the wiper stalk as well. Any vendor out here will not part just the signal parts so you are ooking at about $460. Awesomely crappy. The best price I could find was through Delicashop in Australia- $420 brand new shipped to your door.
It is a "piss you off" kind of part.

Re: Turning Signal Indicator Module
Unfortunately I have the same problem right now. It was usable for a while but gave up the ghost today. The indicator light is flashing a right turn and nothing I can do can seem to turn it off.
I'll do another search but am coming up empty.
Are these things available used?
cheers,
Patton

Re: Turning Signal Indicator Module
Since your signal switch also operates your headlights we do know about an available part that does fit the L400 and its a plug and play unit. I hope you don't have auto headlights cuz this part would remove the auto feature.
The only problem which was confirmed by fellow Delica.ca member 'Milo' is that it doesn't turn on the dash lights. So he has been using his driving light switch which also activates the dash lights.
I think the Beck-Arnley unit has a power wire thats in a different position when compared to the stock delca switch.
Here's the link. Say thanks to Milo for the info!

Re: Turning Signal Indicator Module
I was able to order the part from Rock Auto, and it works to replace the 1995 L400 switch, with the following differences:
The Rock Auto part does not have a button on the end of the indicator to control the spray cleaner to the headlights, so this function is lost.
The Rock Auto part is actually meant for a LHD vehicle, so to it fits into the Delica housing upside down, and so engages the lights by turning the switch counter clockwise instead of clockwise.
Installation was easy. Part works like a charm. Feels very solid.
Thanks for the tip, Big Bird.

Re: Turning Signal Indicator Module
You could rig up a bypass switch on the dash for your headlight washer jets.
Or figure out a way to salvage your old unit........hmmmmm
