Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

shocks

Post by bassnailer »

I think it's time for new shocks. I've done a bit of work with the search function, but maybe not enough. Is it common for shocks to need some modification before installation? Are there shocks out there that are readily available and are the right fit? I remember seeing a post from someone who took some very good pictures of his efforts when he replaced his shocks. From what I remember it was a very simple swap. But I can't find it. Anyhow...

I havent had good luck with the procomp front shocks, the bar pins that attach them to the lower a arm sheared, so I had to replace them. Although if you are in vancouver you will probably never have a problem with them. the roads up here are pretty brutal.

I don't know about that. The speed bumps in my town-house complex are pretty freakin big! :-P

So, what are most people using in their l300? I have to get some shocks this week and I was hoping to get some general idea about which brand is a good fit. I know some folks are using procomps (with varying degrees of success). What is the general concessess?
