Ball joint spacer taper

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Ball joint spacer taper

Post by baGman »

Evening All

Im in the process of lifting my L300 in the UK by 2 inches, I have all the bits including some 1 inch ball joint spacers for the front. However i've been told that the ones that i have are no good as they do not have a taper, they're just cut from flat stock. Apparently they should have a 2? degree taper machined, but I dont know this for sure and if so i dont know how the taper orientates with the holes ie which way it tapers. I've seen on a different thread that jessef used to make them, and i've seen guys on the UK site do group buys from Canada. So, does anyone have any tech drawings or info that could get me out of this situation? I have a CNC mate that owes me a favour, so machining no problem, just need to know what to machine.

Cheers
