New to the Herd

Post by Arthur White Owl »

Howdy Delica-ites
I have been intriqued by these funny looking vans since seeing them on holidays in BC. Found out there were models that had 4x4, diesel, with a turbo 4 cylinder. Sounded pretty good for knocking about or for longer trips. It has taken longer than I would have liked and more money than I liked but there is a 1974 Royal Exceed sitting in front of our house. Picked it up the other day and was fairly impressed although there are a multitude of buttons on it that I haven't a clue what they do. I have to get a manual and spend some time understanding the gizmos but in the meantime we are headed for the hills this long weekend. It is fun bumping into other Delica drivers....cuz we're unique. (Just like everybody else)
Just built a garage and the van don't fit. Do they usually have block heaters? Hmmmmm.
See down the road....maybe off the road.

Welcome to Delica Canada, Arthur :M

Don't think you have a 1974 Royal Exceed, perhaps 1994? Good to have you on board! As far as manuals go there is an owner's manual available for the 1997 second generation L400 (Space Gear) in the L400 Dedicated Category Reference Forum. Although the models change a little, much remains the same ~ so perhaps this can be of assistance to you. Another useful thread to look at is this one.

We look forward to reading more about your adventures and plans. Make yourself at home... smiles.

Falco.
