There are a few people on here from Ontario. You can get insurance; you just need to know whom to go and see.

I'm military, so new provinces on a regular basis is expected. $1700 doesn't sound too bad for LHD.

not sure what you mean
no mention of 1700 for lhd???

ontario is basically putting people into facility for RHD, which means us old fogies with 30 plsu years accident free driving , driving a low powered van are rated the same as a 16 year old in a skyline with 3 accidents

sold my delica so... maybe a moot point.... still trying to find someone who will insure RHD without using "facility" so i can maybe one day be back in the fold
thank you

if you really want LHD why not get a European delica?
LHD isn't all it's cracked up to be, if my US L300 dash cracks there's almost zero chance of me finding one in the same color.

with a conversion of a l300 would you hack up the body and put the hood(proper name?) on the right like a factory LHD model or does the driver now sit on the hood
i guess with the l400 that's not an issue.

moot conversation since sold the delica
it was not a question of WANTING lhd... it is that there are NO insurance companies in Ontario INSURING rhd... so make it lhd and shut them up
all the young kids in the souped up skylines have destroyed the reputation of rhd in ontario... so.... there it stands
if you have insurance, pray it is not cancelled
or put on "facility" as NO one is denied insurance in Ontario (no-fault) but... you WILL pay... quote for 48 yo, no accidents, best record you could have, driving over 32 yrs and quote for 05 passast diesel car (alot more powerful, newre and more expensive) no collision.... 800-1200 /yr
same driver, no collisision on 92 delica..... 4-5k/ yr stupid
hence the lhd question
not going to import a euro one either.... need someone over there that can source and again... big bucks
thx and i will miss the del commmunity

The reason why people are mentioning $1700 and LHD conversion is because this is what the original poster of this topic was asking/inquiring about. You kind of took it over with insurance questions.
