Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
So my first Mod is done on my Delica. I have a couple of outstanding issues still to resolve though. I replaced the stock Tape player, CDPlayer and Radio with a 7" Pioneer App Radio 2. I love the fact that there is no CD player, it simply uses the contents from my iPhone for maps, media, Facebook, Blue tooth hands free etc. plus tons of other apps that i have yet to explore. Unfortunately my Delica has no OBD II port or i could have displayed all kinds of metrics on that 7" screen. now this unit has a connection for a reverse camera. I had the camera installed on the passenger side dashboard facing forward. I have a switch on the dash that didn't connect to anything so that is now used to switch camera on when lets say I wan't to pass a rig on a two lane highway. The only problem is that the image is reversed! It still will show me what's coming down the road, just a bit of a mind tweak is all. Has anyone else put in a forward facing camera? Any ideas on getting that image looking the right way? Also I am getting some intermittent static on some FM stations. Could the antenna not be North American compatible?

Painted the plastic around my rear lights and where you step up on the rear bumper... Got tired of the faded black look, next is wiper arms, and mirrors!

DartmouthBrian what did you paint that back step with?
Elias whats your review of the Pioneer Appradio 2? The one in my delica does not get many stations. I also have to see if I can get the tV working or do something fun with it.

I think the problem is that you bought a reverse cam instead of a dash cam.Elias828 wrote:So my first Mod is done on my Delica. I have a couple of outstanding issues still to resolve though. I think you are right about that. It is an Alpine Rearview Camera, I was told by the installer that I would be able to change the view from mirror to normal but those options are not available on my car deck settings, and looking through the owners manual of the camera, it clearly states the images shown through the camera are reversed, no mention of changing that. So far I have had no need for it as I sit so high in my rig that I can see clearly but have yet to drive down a two lane highway following a semi which we have plenty of in Alberta. I will talk with my installer at Sound connection to see if he can and willing to swap out with a dashboard camera, although the reverse image is not that confusing, just look for the vehicle that's heading in my direction

I had the same issue with the stock radio, tha app radio is great for iPhone users, not so much for android etc. I still have the 3GS so I do not get most of the functionality, I will pick up the 5S in the fall so I would be better able to give you my opinion then. But it fits in nicely.Beausoleil74 wrote:DartmouthBrian what did you paint that back step with?

Kitty Van Gogh got fresh oil, new transmission fluid and lubed. I also ordered Festoon LEDs to replace all the interior lights and fixed a loose speaker mount that I discovered was missing some hardware near the glove box. That lower section of the dash doesn't squeak anymore!

Where did you order the festoon bulbs from? Are they the typical ten watt bulbs or did you find eight watt bulbs (stock wattage)?Left Coast Bill wrote:Kitty Van Gogh got fresh oil, new transmission fluid and lubed. The LED's are a lot less than standard wattage...FalcoColumbarius wrote:Where did you order the festoon bulbs from? Ah. I appeared to have overlooked the LED part of the phrase. All the same, where are they coming from?

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
I ordered them from SuperBrightLEDs after striking out locally. It's a small gamble for 20 bucks and I hope they do the trick!

That's where I got mine and they all worked out perfectly.Left Coast Bill wrote:I ordered them from SuperBrightLEDs after striking out locally. It's a small gamble for 20 bucks and I hope they do the trick!
Where did you ship them to? When I placed my order I got stuck with a $60 duty fee from FedEx! (It was a $200 order, but still)

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
All 4 festoon LEDs I have ordered from SuperBrightLEDs have died within a year. I had to put back the cheap ones I bought on eBay. Not as bright as SuperBright ones but at least they work.
