Hi from Northern Alberta!
Well I don't have a Delica, yet. I have been looking at buying one for the past 5 years, but I ended up buying a Vanagon instead. Now I am in the market for a vehicle and a Delica fits the bill for what I need. I still have the westy but it's parked in the back of a barn on the other side of the country. I have actually never been inside of one or driven one before so I am going to try to test drive one before I buy one. Anywho just figured I'd introduce myself.

If you are ever around Edmonton give me a shout. I have an 85 westy and a 94 l400 as my daily. I love chatting about both!

Good to keep the people in the know on your contact list. Westy and a Deli guy in one place...incredible!CREGAN wrote:If you are ever around Edmonton give me a shout. I have an 85 westy and a 94 l400 as my daily. I love chatting about both!

Re: Hi from Northern Alberta!
I have an 82 aircooled westy, loves gas, doesn't go very fast, always popular with locals, (they throw me a parade, sometimes 10 cars are behind me, sometimes they even honk and wave hand gestures), but it is my favorite vehicle to drive, I am hoping a Delica is similar except with a bit more power. I don't make it to Edmonton very often but, I may have to take you up on your offer someday. I know that a few years back someone was selling an L300 and an L400 here in Grande Prairie, seemed like they imported them to sell. I wonder if they are lurking around this forum.CREGAN wrote:If you are ever around Edmonton give me a shout. I have an 85 westy and a 94 l400 as my daily. I love chatting about both!

Cheers from Fort St John!
Yep you'd have the similar parade with a L300 Delica diesel, they just work hard to maintain highway speeds. This coming from a big time fan of the L300!
Seen a white L400 Delica in Granda Prairie, this year, twice now. Personally looking to export something JDM myself this spring!!!

Re: Hi from Northern Alberta!
Thanks. No name yet, but I think it is more of a he. I ordered some stickers from this site for my first modification. Next I need to sort out one of the rear shade covers it doesn't go. I think one of the wires came off and became tangled up, all of the plastic clips are still good. Maybe make my own bike rack to mount on the front bush-bar. I would also like to make a small little cupboardy storage thing for the rear hatch for camping with a spot for a stove and some sort of a sink. Then if someday I get really crazy maybe a rooftop tent. But mostly I just want to enjoy it with my family and take it camping.
