Compatible Turbos for L400

I have a Delica L400 with a blown turbo. I am looking for a cheap way to acquire a new turbo.
After a bit of research I found I can get a tf-035 for about $300-350. A friend of mine told me that I could put the TF04 in it which is much easier to find and cheaper. Are their any other compatible turbos that might be cheaper than the TF-035. Id hate to scrap the vehicle over a $300 turbo.

Have you tried shopping for a stock one? Look around, maybe you'll get Lucky.

Ive been trying to find one via ebay and other online retailers, but shipping is usually the same as the price of the turbo.
Im doing all the work myself so labor isnt an issue. Ive also been trying to find an ICBC right off to pull a turbo from but havnt had much luck finding any of those vehicles, most shops when parting out cars are selling the engine complete.

Rising sun auto was amazing, they replaced all my fuel pump seals and got the car back to a point where i could work on it.
Currently im running a 1977 volvo as my daily driver that i got for $300. i dont think it will last much longer so i have to replace the turbo and get my beast up an running. if somebody could point me in the right direction i'd be very grateful.
