New Jasper on the North Shore

Post by whatthejeez »

Hi folks,
I guess I should introduce myself since I've been browsing and asking questions for awhile already. (Much thanks for the help!)

I have a '96 Jasper (PD8W) I got at auction from Fukuoka in the south of Japan (thanks to John @ Rocky Mountain Imports).

I'm collecting a bit of WVO and hope to add a second tank and burn it as soon as I can. The endgame is daily work driver, and next summer pulling a tent trailer
on the weekends as well. Other mods will be minimal. Trailer hitch, oil catch pre-turbo.

This whole thing smells like a whole lotta fun (& fry grease...). Been awhile since I scraped my knuckles (can you say combine?) We'll see how it goes.

She's teal & grey with screaming loud Olivia-Newton-spash decals on the side. Can't miss her. Wave when you see me on Mountain Highway.

Cheers, all!

Hi Tracy,

Welcome! I'm also in Lynn Valley in a green over silver L300. Congrats on your purchase.
I would add the following mods to the list:

1. EGR blanking plates and removal of EGR assembly
2. Installation of Auberins digital pyrometer: http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_ ... ucts_id=66
3. Good deals on stereos here: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/

See you around town.

Hi Tracy, Welcome to Delica Canada :M

If you haven't heard there's a Delica Meet at the IKEA on the Lougheed, by Brunette Hwy on the 16th (Friday) in the car park. It's a great place to meet other Delioids and their wagons to exchange ideas. Look in "Events-Lower Mainland" for more info.

Thanks folks. Looks like I get my inspection on Monday. If I'm insured Monday afternoon I'll try to make it over. Wouldn't want to miss a chance to say hello to a fellow flatlander...

edit: that's next monday...oops...sorry folks.

Thanks Tojo. A blanking plate and a pyro is high on the list, although I'll likely stick to a simpler guage with a needle...

As for the stereo, I might check out some installers on the North Shore to start....Since someone TOOK mine...and the clock too... :-x
