Trailers and EGT's

Post by nxski »

I just got my pyro working again and made an interesting discovery. I thought pulling 2000lbs in the form of a lightly loaded trailer would increase my EGT's, but at any given speed the EGT's are the same with or without the trailer. That said, the temperatures do spike more easily with the trailer on uphills or if I have a heavy foot. The other thing that hasn't changed is my fuel economy which I'll attribute to driving and accelerating slower while towing.
