Headlight switch

Post by Taynton »

so i got home from working the hardest shift of my life (15hrs of h*ll) and i went to turn my lights off and the switch just stopped working. It was 1:30 am and i was already barely awake. ill get to the point

I NEED A NEW HEADLIGHT/TURNSIGNAL switch. the best part is it worked well enough to get them to turn the park lights on but now they wont turn off so i have NO headlights

Anyone have one? know where i could find one?

better yet.... anyone have a quick fix?

any help would be great, thanks

Maximum overdrive has them or can get them. It is the easiest and quickest fix. If you are good with electrical you can find the relay and connect external switches but make sure you use relays. It is a royal pain to have these problems and I strongly suggest you don't buy a used one - I did that and had problems in 6 months again. On the one I got from M.O. I had to trim a little to get it to function but basically it is - take the old one off and put the new one on... but the switches will be in the normal N.A. position.

cheers

ps try a search and you will find examples of how to wire it up temporarily
