INSURANCE (GTA)

Post by verlioka »

Hi everyone!
Three weeks ago brought my l400 all the way from BC to Toronto. Enjoyed the ride very much, with all my excitement and anticipation of new adventures with the new beast, i have bought rack, new stereo, gauges etc.... And now got stuck with no insurance to drive this thing, slowly but surely cooling down. Browsed tons of sites and called bunch of different insurance companies which were recommended through these sites - and understood that there is no remedy to this. ANYONE CAN HELP WITH INSURANCE? It's my second vehicle, clean driving record, full G for over ten years. Any help would be gratefully appreciated

There are places that will insure you. Don't get bullied, keep the faith.

I haven't done this in a while, but:

Fight a little with your insurance company. Get them to issue you a letter statnig why they won't insure it. Tell them you need the letter to send to the FSCO. That may or may not move the bar.

If it is truly your second/weekend car, Lant insurance should be able to do it.

Finally: Ask your insurance company to prepare you a facility quote. They have to do it, but if they won't, hit up a couple of independant brokers.
