Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Yeah sorry about the pics forgot the phone rotates them funny. I mostly wanted a clean look, I have one more panel to make for the other side. Then I will put two RV/deep cycle batteries and LED lighting and a couple 12 volt power ports to run some toys. I will charge these off the alternator when running but will hook up a Cetek charger to charge them when I am near A/C, with an isolator to protect the starting battery.
Thanks for checking it out

Ok so I had some left over wood and carpet plus some 5.5 " speakers so I built this
The box gives them some bass and I think keeps up with my clean theme. Not bad the platform/bed and speaker box for $100

I finished powder coating my bull bars! and painted the plastic bits with Rocker Guard.
Okay, so I didn't do all this today; I've been picking away at it for a few weeks. But I re-installed the fog lamps today.

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Well finally got tired of looking at the rust spots at the bottom of the rear window. So I pulled the glass and cut out the bad spots welded in a couple small pieces( I am not a body man). Then cause I did not want to paint the entire rear door I painted a 2" strip around the window and then finished it with some vinyl pin stripe looks way better than before.
What do you think

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Replaced my interior dome lights with 15-LED replacement units from an LED lighting store in North Van. $35 later my interior is awash in light!
BONUS: I discovered that my "burnt-out" door warning light was in fact due to the connector having popped off inside the door, causing an annoying rattling noise (the loose wire inside the door) at certain speeds/RPMs.
Now all interior lights work and annoying rattle is gone. Woot!!

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Rewired the rear L400 RED/WHITE flourescent controller to use LED strips instead of the gimpy flourescent tubes. Credit for the idea goes to Diver from his post on the UK Delica site.
The operation was simply remove a couple of the original connector strips to make room for a terminal strip. Cut + power from board and wire direct to terminal strip. Then run a - wire from each of the - terminals from the switch to the terminal strip to do the switching from sexytime red or business white. Check out Divers post on the UK site for more pictures of where to do what. I used 4 strips of white LEDs and 2 strips of red LEDs
You could be more creative and rewire to use the dimmer switch etc but I just wanted simple ON or OFF of either the white or red LEDs. Plus I only had 15minutes on my coffee break to git'r'dun.
Here are a couple pics of the mods to teh board. Pics in the vehicle to follow sometime...

Why 2? Are you really planning to be in an emergency, or is one a back-up for the back-up?Big-Bird wrote:Got my 12volt emergency flashlights in the mail today. One from Britain, one from the US. Should be mounted by the weekend boyz!
