Re: 7inch Headlight conversion
HID's are more sturdy than halogen and incandescent bulbs, which is why they can be used for off-road activities. However, converting halogen bulbs to HID's for street purposes is dangerous and illegal. See here...http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/HID.html If you have H4 (HB2) bulbs ...

Re: Headlight or Bulb replacement?
Check if it is sealed-beam or not. Sealed-beams are sealed and must have the whole unit replaced, despite using an H4/9003/HB2 bulb. If you do have sealed-beams you can upgrade to DOT or E-Code conversion lamps [http://www.rallylights.com/hella/HeadlampsMain.aspx]. These fit perfectly in the sealed-...

Re: Headlight assemblies from phillipines.... anyone know?
What would be ideal is a website that sells head-lamps from Taiwan. The only one I know of is this...http://depoautolights.com/index.php.

Re: Good Quality (and cheap) DOT Headlights (LHD of course)
One option is simply changing the lenses of the L400 head lamps. Zen Auto Works is selling the E-Code lenses for compliance and yes it will produce a correct beam pattern as it is the L400 lenses which dictate the beam on L400 lamps.

Re: HID Install
Daylight doesn't matter anyway with regards to the light output of HID's. Actually kelvin temp. isn't the only factor regarding how the sun looks. There is also rayleigh scattering which contributes as well. When you account for rayleigh scattering you'll find that standard halogen bulbs are fairly ...

Re: HID Install
The DEPO headlamp website said the lowbeam and highbeam was H1. If it was H4 for low beam why would there be a seperate part of the lamp for high beam, because H4 does both. I'll give you a better example of what I mean. The Delica L300 usually uses the H3 projector for low beam with a seperate spot...

Re: HID Install
The L400 does not use H4 for the low beam, because H4 is for hi/lo beams like the Pajero. It is H1 low beam and H1 high beam in the L400.

Many places have them. Japanoid, Terra2 Imports, etc. They are probably the most common imported lamps.

Wrong area for the post, but I think it is from New Zealand or Australia. Some people are importing old American brands plus Holdens from there now.
