Re: L400 hesitation/vibration
I probably should have mentioned that I have a 1997 series 2. Searching around a bit, it sounds like this model uses a TPS sensor attached to the accelerator pedal which then connects to the ECU and adjusting it may not be possible or even have any relation. Not sure about the kickdown cable. I am g...

Re: L400 hesitation/vibration
Hey JoeDelica, Just wondering what ever came of the issue you were talking about in the this thread? I just got an L400 about 6 weeks ago and it seems to be having the same problem you describe. Basically, at the shift points 40-50 & 70-80 km/h the transmission often seems to "jerk" or...

Re: Number 1 issue with L400 is the Fuel Pump
I found the following study very interesting.

The top rated additive was Opti-Lube XPD. The only dealer listed on the manufacturer's website was in Alberta.

Re: Oil pressure sensor
I just added a pressure gauge to my L300 and it was a bit of a pain... I bought a 1/8 27 NTP Tee but discovered some issues... It appears the OEM sensor is actually M10 x 1mm thread (which is close but a little smaller than 1/8 27 NTP). I manually filed down the threads on the male part of the T and...

How to identify legal L400 headlights?
I was looking at buying a Delica L400 today and I am pretty sure the headlights were not compliant for BC. They had no E-code, DOT or SAE certification on them. They were made by Koito (model:110-87009) and stamped "Japan" (which I believe means for the Japanese market). I could not find a...

Re: Transmission (tranny) Oil Cooler Replacement
Due to the changed mounting for the new cooler, it now sits about 1 inch higher above the 'shield' which should protect it a little more from small rocks. If one wanted the back end could be tilted up further as there is quite a bit of space on the back side (there is nothing on the front). Not sure...

Transmission (tranny) Oil Cooler Replacement
About 2 weeks ago my transmission oil cooler developed a corrosion hole and spewed fluid all over. I could not find a direct replacement and did not want to chance a used one. Here is a link to what I found on eBay ( http://www.ebay.ca/itm/330593242790?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m143...

Re: Kudos to Assiniboine Auto
I just bought a radiator, fuel filter, air filter and oil filter; Steven was very prompt at responding to my calls and emails. He also shipped the items out very quickly. The parts are all Hyundai OEM and seem to be of good quality and are fairly priced.

Re: L300 vs. L400
Here is my two cents... I have owned an L300 for 2 years. I checked out an L400 yesterday because I was seriously considering 'switching'. I liked the L400 but I did not 'love' or like it enough to think it was worth the extra cash it will cost me to switch. If I didn't already have an L300 it would...

Re: Headlight Relay System + Custom Daytime Running Light Module
Thanks for posting the nice diagrams with the wire color coding! I previously figured out the some the of the wires to hook up my DRL relay but never got around to posting the information. I have a few questions/comments: 1) Is the high beam relay necessary since there is already a relay in the syst...

Re: L300 / L400 alternator rebuild/reconditioning
Thanks for the post; I am one that payed too much for a rebuild ($350). So the second time my alternator died (after my brother-in-law accidentally tried to give me a jump start with reverse polarity :o  , I thought I would try and fix it myself since I was 99% sure it was one or more fried d...

I had a dragging pad as well; might have been the guide pin as it was a pain to get the caliper off. Re: HID installed!
I just installed a HID kit from Hong Kong and so far it is working great. The kit was for the high beams (H1 bulbs) and the total cost in the end was about $50!! They are super bright and make a huge improvement. There was plenty of room to install the ballasts under the light pods. Install took abo...
