Innnnnnteresting. I still don't get why mine *always* shreds the paper... And I'm still all over the temp guage..
I found one on Amazon that seems to be a replacement... Maybe I'll swap it just for fun. Growlerbearnz style.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: manual hubs
Hi Guys! I too am looking for some manual hubs to replace my autos on a 1990 L300 Delica. Thought I would revive this thread with some updates on what I'm finding.. and see if anyone has an opinion on any of them: Superwinch (P/N: 400543) stuff seems to be harder to find as of now... discontinued ap...

My thoughts too!!!Holy crap... 10 meters!!!!
And yeah, my old truck had manual hubs... thats what I was used to. I have a buddy who works for Warn so maybe he has some neat prototypes I could throw on the deli!

...now... to figure out the 4L thing..

Re: cant shift to low range (4L)
Chuck!
You just confirmed my fears... I thought I had gone through all possible scenarios with me and that washout.. but I failed to think of the one where I had to reverse out of it... thus potentially losing my 4WD and making a sticky situation. Luckily.. it worked out fine.

Re: cant shift to low range (4L)
Hi Chuck! Thanks for the comments! I edited that post above to add more details.. sorry if I didn't get to it quick enough. Somewhere... there is a crowd of 4WD enthusiasts laughing at me... but here goes: I thought that the hubs locked when I went forward and driving in *reverse* was to *disengage*...

cant shift to low range (4L)
Hello fellow forumers! I was out last weekend trying to drive through a washout on a dirt road. This was my first experience with my Delica and 4WD. I stopped, shifted to 4H, drove forward a bit until I heard clunks and "wheel lock" appeared on my dash. I then tried to shift to low range a...

Re: troubleshooting a 1990 L300 5-speed overheating (surprise!)
Hello again Andy, Thanks once more! I took the van on a 12 hour road trip this last weekend. With a bit more experience under my belt I was able to keep the head temp below 208 the whole trip. Like everyone has said here... the higher rev's sure help. One weird inconsistency: I drove home in abnorma...

best "ignition" wire to tap into (beneath steering wheel)
Hello! I'm putting in a boost/EGT gauge tomorrow and it has a "12V continuous" lead and a "12V ignition" lead. My gut wants to splice into the cigarette lighter wire... but I've read accounts that these wires can't handle much draw and I already have two other devices (TM2 and a ...

Re: 1990 L300 - reverse lights won't turn on
(EDIT: replaced image links with attachments) Motorang, thank you for the incredibly detailed response!!! I *think* you may have helped me solve the mystery. If my assumptions are correct, below is the wire as seen from the driver's side of the car: File Aug 27, 8 30 28 PM.jpeg The wires swing back ...

Re: Delica L300 Trailer Hitch - IN THE USA?
Thanks guys! Also, a very fun fact: ***The first person to make it to U-Haul's Tempe, Arizona facility with an L300 will get a free trailer hitch.*** I called up U-Haul to see if they had a hitch for a Mitsubishi Van (USA model).... they said "No, BUT if you bring your van (or Delica) to their ...
