Re: rear shocks for a 3" lift L300

Sorry, should have mentioned how it's lifted. It's been lifted with block and shackles, no extra leaf, and running 31 x 10.5's. Didn't do it myself, it was already lifted when bought. Hopefully, will have better luck with new shocks, as the last ones only lasted a few months (Kaltire put on ones tha...

rear shocks for a 3" lift L300

Hi guys and gals, Have used the search function and found some info on rear shocks for 2" lifts, Procomp s9000/s3000, etc. Would these fit a 3" lift, and are they a straight swap or do they need a bit of modding to fit? Any other suggestions for shock replacement? Will be getting RJD to pu...

Re: Um, where does this go?

It does look like what I just pulled out when removing the alternator. Is the other bolt still present? Others will chip in, but I'm locking in your answer, a) alternator tensioner thingy.
Hope you have a great weekend in the sunny outdoors.

Re: Alternator issues?

Thanks 'After Oil', called Graham at Coombs, and will be picking one up from the greyhound at Pemby sometime tomorrow. Installation to be done after work, and possibly some valium and beer, after the cussing and foot stomping of getting old one out! Take it easy, and have a great weekend all.

Alternator issues?

Hello again, Seems like I need the collective knowledge again, as the delica (I no longer call her by nickname)and I can't seem to make it six months without an issue! This time it's the alternator me thinks. The batteries have been replaced, and I checked the voltage across the terminals (12.35ish)...

Re: Frozen deli, need mechanic in nw calgary

Hi folks, Thanks for all the assistance. We ended up getting it towed to Kirkham, where they thawed it out, charged the batteries, and checked out the starter. It turns out the solenoid is on it's way out. The bolt that holds the wiring plate(?) is loose, and tightening the nuts doesn't seem to help...

Re: Frozen deli, need mechanic in nw calgary

Hi guys, Thanks for the response. Yes the van is turning over, all be it very slowly. It seems the starter doesn't have the power to crank the engine. I'm off to change out the oil and see if that makes a difference and put in some new batteries (current ones are 2 winters old and have seen alot of ...

Frozen deli, need mechanic in nw calgary

Hey folks, Visiting friends in NW Calgary and the cold snap has caught us out. Tried to boost it and burnt out one of the negative battery terminals and discovered a loose starter motor wire. Tightened the wire, replaced the terminal, and picked up a magnetic pan heater. It now has not started for t...

Re: 4x4 vibrations?

Hi folks, would like to pick your collective brains. Does anybody know if the uj's on the 4wd shaft (rear joint) are different to the 2wd ones. If so, does anyone have a part make and number for a replacement. Mine has excessive play and rust, and will need replacing before the winter 4wd use. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply Jungle Jon, Have written down the address for emergencys only (hopefully not required)! If you see a delica cruising around the NW (Bowness) with as many kayaks as can be humanly fitted on the roof and inside, it'll be us. Looking forward to a hot summer, and CKUA on the radio ...

sump guards

Hey folks, Have been reading the UK and Aussie sites and a lot of advice is suggesting to replace the stock sump guard. Is the stock one really that bad? Has anyone done this replacement yet? Is there a local one available? I'm heading home to Aus. soon and am thinking to pick up some stuff whilst t...

Full roof length cargo racks?

Hi guys and gals, Does anybody have full length cargo racks on their vans? Ones long enough to get a roof box on aswell. Have seen lots of good ones on 4wd's about, do any cross over to delicas (with or without a little bending)?Would like to mount to the gutter, and not have to get racks as well. H...

Delica parts and willing mechanics in Calgary area

Hi folks, First off, I've been lurking and researching for a few weeks whilst deciding on a Delica (vs. a subaru), the Delica has won hands down! Hopefully will find one soon. Anyhoo, a big thank you to everyone on this site for the information and effort, it is great to see such support for these u...
