Nothing wrong with undoing a few bolts a few times a year to have some protection though. I'm in the market for a skidplate for my l400

How much is shipping??
North Shore off road quoted me $500 to make one from scratch. Any idea where I could get a better price?

I asked T0me how much shipping was, and he wanted me to find a shipper. I don't understand how that works actually. I would have to contact the shipper from North America to get it shipped here? Normally he would send it out, not have me arrange for shipping.
I would guess getting one fabbed for $500 would be less than what it would cost from T0me.
Of course, once you had one fabbed, you could use it as a template and sell them.

Are the L400 skid plates a lot more involved than the 300's? This seems quite high as I can have an L300 fabbed for as low as $140.

I don't think they are.they might be a bit larger.
No one makes them for Canada yet though.

In that case, make one out of cardboard, measure it, create a drawing and give that to the cutter (I used Viking Profiles in Richmond). If you have access to AutoCAD you could have one made for $140-180 yourself, or add roughly $100 to that if the company has to put it into AutpCAD. Either way, it should be a lot cheaper than $500.

Hi guys that was my first design that i made from aluminium chequer plate, i left it behind when i split with my ex missus. I redesigned the stainless one after noting a few mistakes with the old bash plate, it was difficult to cut, had a lot of waste and chequer plate is not very good for rock sliding.
