Any experience w/ Right Drive, Ontario?

Hello,
Wonder if any Ontario-ites or others have dealt with Right Drive, Vaughn, Ontario? They seem to be the only dealer close to me. The Delica i'd like is the 92 Space Gear/Star Wagon Exceed. Right Drive has one listed at $11999. Any thoughts? Any dealers/private sellers think this is a good price?

Cheers,
dlibbey

No experience but was thinking of using them for a Deli tune up. I would be interested in any experience as well.

From my research the questions to ask would be what was done to it not only compliance, but as well this list from the Delica Wiki site. https://www.socialtext.net/delica/index ... red_delica

In general it seems that Ontario prices are higher then BC prices for a similar product. (assuming all of the upgrades and changes are the same) This is not based on extensive research on my part just a result of casual reading so I could be wrong.

Oh and don't forget to research insurance. Some members have had grief getting insured. Hope all goes well.

Might have to do with the greater transport costs (i.e. further from the coast than Vancouver is). Or it could just simply be what the market will bear.

Insurance was a bit of a hassle, though in the end my wife ended up getting insured through the same guy she's been dealing with forever. I do believe he is underwritten by R.B.C. Be patient, make a list, a spreadsheet or whatever you've gotta do to keep track of the millions of places that you call. In the end we are paying about $1k a year. We had to get confirmation that our van was worth the 10 Grand due to it's age as we have full replacement cost coverage.

The truth of insurance in Ontario is that no matter what anyone says it is illegal to refuse a person insurance. That doesn't mean they can't charge you $5k a year so that you refuse.

As advised by Mardy of amazingautoimports.com I have been getting parts from a Fuso truck dealer.

A dealer was mentioned somewhere in the Ontario meetup forums. It seemed like someone knew a guy that had previously imported them and one of the owners said he was going to see if he could cajole him into importing again.

Dealt with them.
I got a really good van l400 95 000km.
I got really cheap insurance $250 year. Set through them.
I got a good third party warrantee. In which I have found past experience is a really smart thing to do!
and I have other friends who have imported their own, and got less for more.
And know someone who have dealt with another Ontario dealer and with no warrantee offered, found them selves paying for things i wouldn't with a warrantee.
They also helped my skeptical fiancé become a huge delica advocate to all her posh friends. Lol.
And I got a smile on my face a year later, sitting in my van right now, wondering where to go next.
Delica life is surprisingly satisfying.
