Removing Dash Pod on l400

Anyone know how to pull the dash pod on an L400? Other parts of the dash plastic have already been broken and replaced, so I'm worried about pulling too hard on some part and breaking the outer plastic. My inclinometer is stuck (the digital compass and voltmeter work fine, just the tilty gauge is sticky), but I can see the fluid, so I'm hoping giving it a good shake will do the trick.

No idea...but the van is not lying on its side? that would explain the gauge reading

Rusty from MDOCUK (and Delica.ca

) has a great step-by-step on his website.

JFARSANG HERE TO SAVE THE DAY...AS USUAL
Maybe the SEARCH ICON could fill in the blue space just under the 'DELICA /MITSUBISHI VAN CLUB' heading. Extend it the full width and about one inch high. Sorry just me ranting....

Hey Aciled, how's it going? I remember first getting on here had not getting everything right off the bat. Just recently we have published a post in Member Introductions called : Welcome to Delica Canada: Read This Before You Do Anything.
This is designed to help the newbe get the ropes. Everything is on the page to read but as you pointed out it can be like a Where's Waldo story until you become more familiar with the site.
There is actually a lot of stuff on this site once you get to know it... smiles.
Falco.

Thanks jfarsang and Jungle Jon! Very helpful.
Aciled, I used the search icon, and it's plenty visible. What I'm finding in general is the wealth of information is so huge it's hard to find what I'm looking for because so many results tend to be returned. As I'm getting used to the various common terms my search-fu is getting more efficient.
In the meantime the help from the patient/experienced members is very greatly appreciated!

It's pretty easy to pull off the gauge pod. First remove the back plastic - this just pops out of two clips, pull it at a 45 degree angle up (towards the windshield). The clips are on either side of the piece.
Once that is off, you'll see two screws, one on either side. Unscrew those and the pod will be free. Then just unclip the electrical plug and you'll have it in your hand. You can then take apart two more pieces, each are held in with screws, it's pretty self evident at that point how to take them out and get to your tilto meter or whatever it's called.

Just have Karen knit you a dash pod cozy, when are you going to use your inclinometer anyway!

Haha... Karen knitting... funny.
I don't need it to work... I just like it!

If I might suggest, this'd be a good time to consider removing the inclinometer and replacing it with something perhaps more useful (but less cool) like a pyrometer or boost gauge.
It took me a couple hours to swap out the floaty ball and stick in a $25 Princess Auto boost gauge that fits perfectly in the hole, and it's more than paid for itself already in fuel savings (driving a little below full boost makes quite a difference).
