Regina Mechanic?

Hi I am a proud new owner of a Delica L300 Exceed. I know there is a couple other Delica's burning around town, does anyone know of a good mechanic that can be trusted? Thanks :)

We have used Performance Auto (just west of Albert on 9th Ave.) Herman and his group have treated us well. Albeit, all we have had done is routine service and a block heater installed. Ours was the first Delica they had seen and worked on but were not intimidated in the least.

Block heater numbers:
Napa # 605-3509 OR Temro # 310-0051
There is another Napa number 605-3032.

I can't remember which Napa one we have but it sure works good. No issues starting if plugged in, even down to the - 30's.

I was thinking of getting the magnetic one from Canadian Tire but it just seems so weak.

Canadian tire has them and so does partsource.
That's where I got mine and it works really well.
If you do it yourself make sure you use a gasketmaker
goop that is meant for thermostats and stuff.
It hardens really hard and makes for a good seal.

My L300 starts at colder that -30 easily.
Piece of cake when plugged in.

Napa and Lorco have the right ones in. $35 at Lordco and $40 at Napa.

The magnetic heater is out of stock at every Canadian Tire in the Lower Mainland. It was $50 but unlike the internal ones, no installation costs.

Magnetic aren't the same as an internal block heater
but to each their own.
I used a magnetic oil pan heater before the internal
block heater was put in by myself. Then I used both.
Block heater is the cat's meow.

I also have a oil pan heater, it works good but I got my batteries tested today and I need 2 new ones. I went to National Battery and they are installing them tomorrow morn. I also bought a inline heater that I have not installed yet. Once that goes in, I am sure I will have no problems.

Yeah I know the magnetic heaters arent the same but for those looking for a cheaper alternative in a slightly warmer climate of the Vancouver area, this might be an alternative. Except there are none around. $50 with no installation (mag heat) vs $35-$40 plus cost of installation (block heat), anywhere from $100 to $220.

As for the 0w30 synthetic oil, has anyone found any in Vancouver and if so, where!? I saw the Can Tire brand that just said "30" on the bottle, but not sure if thats the same and its not synthetic.

My mistake.

In Saskatoon I run 0-40 synthetic blend
block heater (installed myself) and have a magnetic
pan heater which is epoxied on.
