Hi Gang,

I've read through all the posts on this and it seems there's quite a bit of info there on what guys with lifts have done for replacement shocks but I'm wondering what has worked really well for guys running stock height.

Procomp?
Rancho?
Bilstein?
OME?

part #s would be great and I'm not against spending the money for good quality shocks that work.

I had read thru these and noted the Procomp #s.

Can anyone confirm the Bilstein numbers from the wiki.

Anybody else have any other good experiences using anything else? or are most people going with Procomp? I'm guessing the Procomps are not adjustable?

Bilstein #'s don't match a stock L300 Delica.

Fronts are 1" longer stroke length

Rears are eye to eye (L300 has eye top/pin bottom)

I like my Monroe Severe duty (yellow colour) on my stock L300, with my 30 inch BFG AT tires. Fairly inexpensive ($30 ish dollars ish), available from everywhere, I will look up part number tomorrow (it's dark and rainy outside now).

The Bilsteins, as Jesse Jfarsang noted, are NOT an instant fit, but many like the quality.

Procomp 9000's I had at first, barely lasted me a year.

For all, ensure the rubber bushing you get is extra sturdy polyeurethane (often a red colour), not just the cheapo black colour rubbery bushing that often comes with shocks.

Be aware that your tire pressure and alignment needs to be good, and your torsion bars make your delica appear level all around, or it can cause premature wear on shock and suspension and tires.

Hello Jay and Christine,

Note that the part numbers (Monroe) you posted recently do not work for the rear shocks. It appears that a digit may be missing?

550012=front shocks (Napa)
33074_=not found

Not sure if these are yellow ones you are reffering to?

Wow, Christine, I'm surprised about your findings with the Procomps, I read somewhere, people were finding them better than Rancho. I've had my van leveled using the torsion bars and tire pressure and alignment are good right now, so should be good to go.

Just can't decide on which ones to roll with. Now I'm leaning back towards Rancho.

Does anyone have confirmed part #s for Rancho 9000 that will fit a stock Delica? Do I need a conversion kit for front or rear?

As Christine wrote you need to replace the rubber bushings with poly and you are set for years.

I'll second that, the Pro Comps ride great but our bushings are gone as well. Replacing with Energy urethane ones next week when the new tires go on.

Hi all, I was really excited to find this thread which appears to have references to pages where I can find the part numbers for pro comp shocks that fit stock height L300s, but the links are all dead.

Can anyone say the part numbers of pro comp shocks for stock height L300s?
Also what kind of bushings do I need?

I was having a hell of time sourcing good part numbers for the L300 via this forum. This thread appeared most helpful as the info was consolidated into one thread

But guys at local shock supplier said the Pro-Comp 919520 was eye top/eye bottom for the rear, which goes against the eye top/pin bottom that you see on the van and see mentioned on the forum. Maybe we had a miscommunication and I should check again.
