Okanagan Delica

Hey all, I'm a newbie here. Just pulled my "new" '92 Delica into the driveway from the Lower Mainland, and I'm loving it! It made the Coquihalla trip without a hitch, and soon doing a 2500km trip in two weeks.

Me and my wife already pulled the rear seats out and made ourselves a camping bed. :-D

So, since I'm new to Delica's, I am going to need as much help from you guys as possible!!! haha. I may ask silly questions, but it's all from my extreme newbie-ness (If that's even a word).

I have read some great ideas here that I'd like to hopefully be able to implement, i.e. adding an Intercooler, finding good filters, thinking of adding a ps3/cheap video projector/movie screen, Possibly WVO system down the line, some cosmetic additions (rainguards, cupholders etc.), and I'm sure I'll find other amazing ideas that the community has already come up with.

I'm looking forward to all of your insights into getting the most out of this versatile machine, and how best to 'stroke it', as it were, to make my Delica purr.

Nice meeting you all!! :-D :-D

Welcome to our cult. Don't drink the koolaid.

Can u post photos of yr camping setup, i love seeing how everyone does things a bit differently.

We removed our rear bench, and put in plywood base on legs, so now fit 9 milkcrates under neath (one crate for food, 1 tools, 1 water, 1 portapotty, etc). Foam cushions warmer than air mattress. Run the electric blanket while driving to keep sleeping bag warm for later. Installed a table leg base into the floor from the RV store, with removeable table leg tube, and removeable tabletop so the whole bed can still fold flat.
We got the E&H hitch, and princess auto basket, so can carry large crates out back, for firewood and big tarps etc.
Our course an inverter (1000 watt, and small microwave 500 watt) which needs engine running to give enuf power to run the microwave.

Hope to see you sometime soon. cheers, christine.

Welcome, Ol'Lefty. Great to see another Delica owner in the Okanagan! If I see ya, I'll be sure to wave.

For WVO conversion info, you may want to talk to Plantdrive in Salmon Arm...he's a member on here.
