Being inexperienced and not good with online research is going to hamper you for sure.

Probably your best bet is to call Mardy at Amazing Auto in Richmond and tell him exactly what you want. He can import it for you, and you usually have the option of some kind of warranty.

There are a lot of good dealers on here, but I will say that you should give Mardy a call.

I wanted a specific model and Mardy got it for me.

Tigger:

I love your (Delica?) camper.

Can you show/tell us more?

Is it a Delica & where/when did you get it?

It's a '94. Found it in Japan last summer and purchased through Terra2. Picked it up in January. It will sleep 2 plus two kids, but there are only 2 plus 2 small dogs on most trips. It has frig, 2 burner stove, furnace and washroom (including hot water) on board. Good for long weekends or even week long trips. I think we'll be camping well into autumn, but may not be able to keep water systems going in really cold temperatures. Everything worked when I got it. All in price, including Canadian upgrades was about $18k.

I've seen a few identical units for sale, but haven't seen any in Canada. I've also seen other makes come up for sale with identical interiors, so I'm thinking the box is manufactured by a common supplier in Japan for several makes of vans.

That picture was taken on the Banff to Jasper Highway last July. We were heading to Sask for a reunion. We've used it for about a dozen weekends since May to get us to trails or lakes where we can hike or kayak. The Deli acts as a mobile tent, but with far better ameneties!

A '94? When I suggested it was an '89 I was going by the headlamp & bush bar arrangement. Does it have a manual throttle control by the steering column on the front console? From what I understand the last year Mitsubishi put a manual throttle knob in was '92.

Falco.

Can you post a few pics, especially the interior & the back of the van?

What do you get for mileage?

Then it may be a '92... I am pretty certain that they stopped putting manual knobs in L300 Delicas in '93. Worth looking up.

No manual throttle. The bush bar is a homie, I'm pretty sure. I'm sure it's a '94. It's a 400. Mileage is not spectacular. I cruise around 90 to 95. Top end is about 105. Tank is 60 liters. That's good for around 400 km. It has 5 speed std with part time 4wd plus lo range. Good for steep hills or bush roads as you can see below.

This one is mine. Pictures were taken in Japan before I bought it.

This one was sold this summer. Note the km.
